Postby zyala » Fri Feb 24, 2023 2:47 pm

Hey Everyone.

I need help using plugins like Kontakt and Instacomposer inside Orion to configure using multiple MIDI channels. Thanks.

Load Kontakt, then click the down arrow on the upper left hand corner of the plugin wrapper and select Channels Visible in Mixer. Then Select the Midi Channel you want to use (or Omni). In Midi In Settings choose "Advanced (Midi Channel Configurable Per Generator)".

You'll have to set Kontakt's Layers to accept different midi channels.

I'm not sure that will work but if it doesn't then I don't think it's possible to do in Orion.

You can also set the Midi Channel for the piano roll of a Pattern:

From my dark distant memory, I think there was a thing you could do in the vst.cfg txt

Something like listing
Kontakt4
Kontakt 8

Etc etc

And it would appear in a list, and load with the amount of channels

May not be of any help
