Dune 3 genetics

Hello,
Today I stumbled on the dune 3 genetics mode where you can select patches and generate a patch based on the "genetics" of those patches. Are there other synths (hw or SW) that implement something like this?

Pigments by Arturia has something similar with its morphing and randomization tools.
