Scala Tutorial

Postby Jenifer Sandra » Sat Oct 30, 2021 10:17 am

Does anyone know if there is a tutorial on using Scala in Orion? This would be especially useful for creating Jazz chords for example on the fly for use in making House synth stabs and sequences. Thanks in advance.

I don't know of any tutorials but Scala tuning only works for Orion's internal generators. You can drop your .scl files into the Orion>Scales folder.

You download a few thousand .scl file from here:

https://www.huygens-fokker.org/docs/scales.zip

Other than that I can't help as I don't use alternative tunings.

I don't think that link was there yesterday as the post was edited this morning. Virus Total scores it zero threats but it's obviously a dodgy attempt (in Spanish) to get people to download What's App or some virus. :?

I wonder if her account was hacked or "she" is just some bot. That would explain the confusion as to what Scala files actually are.

Bloody internet.........
