Dune 3 lfo triggered enveloped or MSEG

HI can we get more control over the mod matrix to include things like have an lfo trigger the MSEG or envelopes. The only thing that can currently be modulated is the MSEG rate.

What exactly do you mean by LFO triggering envelopes, and what would be the purpose?

If you mean modulating the MSEG depth, then this is done by modulating the MM Amount of the slot containing the MSEG- a trick used in quite a few factory presets.

I mean having a way to trigger an envelope start using a square wave lfo as a clock signal/gate signal.

Dune 3 is a polyphonic synth, so voices/envelopes are triggered by Note on commands. This is different from a monophonic modular system. In a synth like Dune 3, envelopes are always polyphonic and LFOs can be polyphonic as well. So it would get somewhat messy trying to trigger envelopes from a LFO. Essentially it would only work in precisely Mono Legato mode and if the respective LFO is set to monophonic mode as well.

That said, you can simply put MSEGs into "Loop" mode to get a periodic trigger, which is also sync'ed to the host tempo. This is used a lot by patches in the "Gated" or "Sequences" category in the factory library.

I think Dune 3 needs looping envelopes though How do I use MSEG as an amp envelope but looping and that is triggered by lfo1?
