Comparing to Ableton Analog's Square wave with the same duty cycle, the quality of Antidote's Pulse leaves a LOT to be desired.
Comparisons were done with both at 50% duty cycle (square). Analog's square wave is effectively perfect, I still haven't heard a better one. I'm not whining that Antidote NEEDS to have the same one, but as something to strive for, it certainly would be a welcome update. Obviously I can just use Analog .... but then again that can't combinate
Here's what I observed...
Low notes exhibit high-frequency beating at random rates.
Mid and high notes seem to have a lot of aliasing and substantial rolloff.
The oscillator is not pleasant. Has a buzzy, ringy sound.
That said, the other waveforms are nice, especially IMO Analog Saw and Sine/Triangle. (well, Digital Saw aliases, but that's to be expected.)
