DUNE3 - Ducking Effect For Reverb

Postby DeletedUser » Mon Jul 22, 2019 1:15 pm

I wish a ducking function for the Reverb. :)
I tried it with MSEG Note Off -> Reverb Dry/Wet in the Matrix but it doesnt sound clean. Always cracks at a new note. :?

Thanks for reading.

(This is a post to the authors of the Synth! No interests in discusing with users!)

do you mean you want the reverb to stop on note off?

what host are you using?

If you flip MSEG 1 into a ramp down instead of ramp up it will shut off the Reverb on Note Off. Adjusting the break point on the right allows you to add some reverb as desired.

That's if you're trying to cut the reverb off at note off......

No No. It does exactly what i want in my .fxp file. "ducking" the sound while you press a note.
But sometimes it cracks at the beginning here.

To what point ? Not sure why you'd want to "duck the sound while you press a note" but to each his own. Good luck I hope you find whatever you're looking for.......

Duck the reverb. Not the sound. Because a modern production has clean ducked reverbs. The muddy reverbed Leads from the 90's are over.

As Kriminal has mentioned and as shown in the video you posted maybe it's a job better handled by your DAW.

I hope you get whatever you're looking for but there are already a lot of feature requests for Dune 3 so take a number and get in line. There are FR's that have been asked for by more than one person so they make take priority but you never know what Synapse will add with each update. Perhaps you'll get lucky.

For the record I don't hear any clicking in the patches you posted even with rapid play. It seems to me if you wanted to avoid "muddy reverbed Leads from the 90's" you wouldn't drench it in Reverb in the first place as it's the tails that will muddy up a mix but like I said to each his own.

yep, you need to sidechain the reverb to get the gated reverb sound.... which is from the 80s

:D yeah... you can do it with sidechain (carrier is orignal signal). But... I would love it in Dune3 directly :) As said. Check Toraverb2

And people ... Let's stick a point for a proper discussion. :D

Just because a function does not make sense to you does not mean it makes no sense to others. :!:
This forum is called "Wishlist" and was created by the authors of the software so that users can give ideas to the authors.
In general, it is not necessary to discuss the benefits of a function with other users.

Only my modest opinion. :)
