Where are the great wavetablesDune 3 is an amazing synth with some great wavetable opportunities. What I really miss is some good (factory) wavetables. The ones that are there are nice but mostly quite simple. I love the wavetables from serum or massive x and afaik Dune 3 can handle the same complex wavetables as those synths (if not better). Also if I navigate the Dune 3 presets, it seems there are little to no examples of good wavetable sounds. And unfortunately if I search online there are very few resources with good wavetables for Dune3. The best I could find is on the audiosex forum.
Re: Where are the great wavetablesMark Holt of this forum has a package of over 2500 high quality Wavetables for 10 pounds. It also includes a WT creation tool.

Thanks for the quick replies. Wow. These from Oberheim8000 are the same I found on the audiosex forum. Some nice ones for sure. And found Mark Holt's site too. I'm not that impressed by the demo's so not sure if I would like his package. Also, I'm quality over quantity and would rather not aggregate 2500 wavetables. I'm just amazed about some of the (factory) wavetables in Serum and MX. So much subtlety, finesse. Just high quality overall and when turning the knob there is a wealth of great and useful transitions. Quite a few sound really fresh. Waves like bottle blow (Serum) Drift Organ ,Crusty (MX) and such. I have found a few good wavetables for Dune 3 but especially the ones I found online are a lot of hit and miss. That's why I mentioned the factory wavetables. Don't get me wrong, the factory wavetables are good and very usable, it's just that when I play around with MX or Serum demo I get really inspired by their focussed and well organised factory selection and don't feel I would ever need to dig up online sources for more. Dune 3 is so much better in other areas that I just miss a better organized (like Serum's "Analog", "Digital" etc) basic selection and some more special ones.
Re: Where are the great wavetablesThe difference with Serum is that's all it is, whereas DUNE has three different oscillator sources, of which wavetables are the most recent.

Re: Where are the great wavetables
Did you try Mark's Wavetable demos ? There is a package of 22 available for free download. He's quite the mathematical genius so I wouldn't dismiss his WT's just because there are so many. I've only spent a short time with the Serum demo so didn't get to check the Wavetables so I'm not sure why it wouldn't be possible to replicate them in Dune 3. Mark would be the one to address that question. To be honest after a while Wavetables sort of all start sounding pretty much alike. There is only so much information that can be contained in 2048 samples.
