Parameter locking for The Legend RE?

Postby jowii » Tue May 25, 2021 3:09 pm

It would be really great to have parameter locking on The Legend and other Rack Extensions.

Namely the pitch bend range and the polyphony.

If not possible, in terms of polyphony, perhaps it would be preferred if all polyphonic presets were saved as poly-8? Or even create a new folder for browsing polyphonic presets with this setting?

True, but it's not as nice as having it as the presets and not having to navigate to a separate folder after creating an instance of The Legend. And certainly not as nice as having parameter locking... I just wasn't sure if a parameter locking feature was possible with the RE format. It would be very awesome to have.

Is there any benefit to having the polyphonic presets still set to poly-4? I mean, The Legend is by no means a DSP heavy synth. And changing the presets to be poly-8 would not affect those who have projects using presets with the settings of poly-4.

Good feature request, however this would be something to ask ReasonStudios instead. It is not technically possible to handle parameter locks in the same way as we do it in our VST/AU/AAX versions.
