Dune ClassicStill would love to see Dune 1 make a comback as Dune Classic, it's such a different sounding synth to the later dunes, it shouldn't fade away in time <3
Re: Dune ClassicThere were free versions with some music magazines, e.g, Computer Music, that should still be available. With CM, I think you can buy one issue and get access to their digital archive. Dune CM is a slightly cut down vesion of Dune 1, although I must emphasise "slightly"!

Re: Dune ClassicNot sure how many time we will be able to access those archives because Computer Music magazine closed on October 15 !

Re: Dune ClassicThink it would be easiest if it would just be updated to VST3 and kept alive like Hydra. Would make sense if it came together with DUNE 3/4 and also sold by itself, allowing for a cheaper upgrade path to DUNE 3.
Rob Papen recently launched Albino 3 in VST3, while reFX brought back Vanguard and I absolutely love both! There's a lot of old VSTS that have a very specific sound that can't easily be recreated with the modern flagship synths we have today imo. Totally for synth preservation, no matter if analog or digital ![]() I'd even would like to see a TS404 VST for like 39 bucks or something along those lines. hehe
Re: Dune Classic+1 to vst 3 dune classic
Re: Dune ClassicProgress is Progress. Dune is now at V3. There's nothing in V1 you can't do in V3

Re: Dune Classic
It's not about "what one can do", theoretically all synths work the same if that's the logic. It's about how Dune 2 was such a big departure, that it's almost a completely new synths with it's own sound. Noone says you'd have to use Dune Cassic..

Re: Dune ClassicOn the other hand, Dune 1 had that something... Dune 1 has sounds that I haven't been able to realize on Dune 3. E.g. The voc sound in the sample below.
