Re: Synapse Orion Is AliveSo, have you got a working version of the Starfighter skin for Orion v8.6?

Re: Synapse Orion Is AliveYes because I have re-adapted all the mixer and master BMP images to the current mixer that Orion v.8.6 uses. If I saw an updated version of Orion 9 I think that would make me extremely happy because it is the only DAW with a very efficient workflow due to the intuitive interface. The only aspect that I think it lacks is if the sound engine were on par with Cubase, I sometimes feel that it loses a bit of the low end spectrum when rendering.
Re: Synapse Orion Is AliveMaybe you could upload it somewhere...

Re: Synapse Orion Is AliveTo all you gentlemen that still use this fantastic DAW, i am still in the Orion army with you, Orion is still very stable on my Windows 11 64bit operating system and for vst3 instrument/effects, 32bit vst/vsti imports i use the very powerful DDMF Metaplugin Synth Metaplugin.v3_0_4 (Very stable version for Orion) https://ddmf.eu/metaplugin-chainer-vst-au-rtas-aax-wrapper/ yes, it costs £58 but it is worth every penny, you can do some mad things in this plugin, Orion's pattern based sequencer is still the best in 2026, as for ghost notes (A popular FL Studio piano roll feature) i just import a scale as a midi file (C major for instance) and position it just outside the loop that you are working on in the piano roll and voila! instant scale notes visibility (Link to screenshot example below), yet again thank you Richard for Orion, a skillfully coded DAW that is still standing the test of time, the best pattern based DAW in the world!

Re: Synapse Orion Is Alive
Greetings Brother Andrew80. I am sorry that i am late to this thread, but i have to disagree with you about Orion's low end rendering, it is well up there with Cubase and the other DAW's and i have put links here to prove it with just the built in Pro 9 and Wasp V, the low cut stock plugin and the free GLow vst, the first link is a 1 minute drum and bass demo premaster, the bass starts off up 1 octave briefly then drops into the sub zone, the second link is the same soundclip mastered, the third link is a screenshot of the setup that produced the rendered drum and bass demo, i am always looking to be enlightened so if anybody out there can prove that i am wrong i am willing to listen and learn. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nXQ-At1PsyRd8iiUXOBwVobjEd5JtswL/view?usp=drive_link Orion Rendered Demo_pre-mastered. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qu2WvfrJ6bm-e_p1jfkJrQzZxVicl8CH/view?usp=drive_link Orion Rendered Demo_Mastered. https://photos.google.com/documents/ChhTY3JlZW5zaG90cyAmIHJlY29yZGluZ3MiCRIHCgWyAQIYDii5ps%2F23zM%3D/photo/AF1QipNu0Evz6twzn755fNIpV44fVnYXqt18N8qrut8m Screenshot.
Re: Synapse Orion Is AliveHi, I know the Orion DAW is no longer supported but I wonder if there is a way of getting hold of the software? I can see from the forum posts that it is stable on Windows 11 so I'm wondering how to get a hold of a copy, if possible.
Kind Regards Phil
