More Stereo Output Channels for ReWire Client

is there any "rewire" v8 progress? Can main mixer and not only master be rewired in the near next version? Please consider this in v8 as a new option.. main channels cannot be rewired individually now... unfortunately. (for most cases master mixer is not the mixer to rewire except main master output)..

of course the implementation should use master mixer for the final channel output, depending on per channel fx sends and only

I do not know how difficult could this could be, how fundamental, I guess restructuring rewire has to reform sound engine and buses. If a developer could give us an idea on that..
This one has to do with per channel audio independence, scalability, and interoperability with software (rewire) and asio outputs on (hardware) devices also. Your point of view?

ReWire Slave mode will be dropped (you may still be able to use it with the OrionReWire.DLL, but it won't be updated). ReWire Master will be kept for some time to come, probably as long as the 32-bit Version exists.

I think Orion as a slave has no sense in fact, but as Master it must be all the time :-)

Orion + ReBirth works excellent!
But one bad thing is that Orion's mixer works on all channels at same time - it schould work only on one specified channel or work only on learned CC's channel

i slave orion to ableton because ableton as a slave can't load vsti

It has more than sense to me...
I also like "slaving orion" to ableton live, I wish I could use ableton's recording capabilities immediately, using fx in both software, but no way for the master mixer, please do not underestimate slaving, interoperability with full seperated channels is a very nice feature, revealing the best of both worlds.
Please consider it as an option! Please reconsider slaving rewire main mixer. Be as compatible as you can somehow...

How difficult could this one be anyway in dev?

I too run Orion as a slave (in Pro Tools). I've learned to work with 4 busses by grouping soundsets together such as percussion to buss 1, bass sounds to buss 2 etc. If I get into any difficulties I just use the export to wav and import those tracks into Pro Tools. All other audio tracks go straight into Pro Tools anyway.

This way I very rarely have to go back to the Orion mixer.

All my mixing is done on a Mackie Logic Control so will there be support for automatic faders in Orion when Rewire slave mode is dropped. It will never be the master in my studio without it.

Also, can Orion allow more than 1 rewire slave device yet? I can run Ableton with Orion in Pro Tools.
