maybe requested before, the ability to create folders in the playlist.
Once you create some pattens inside (ex kick A1, bass A2, sidechain A1; sub A3) it creates some pattenr name in the playlist in the folder track, then you can click and add this folder pattern directly...
cheers

playlist foldersHe means grouping together the patterns of a couple of generators into one pattern represented by a folder track.... I think
For me, I´d like folder tracks for the ability to group certain generators/vsti and their corresponding AT:s(v8) together... would help keeping the playlist from getting cluttered in large songs/arrangements. Last edited by DMuzik on Mon Mar 02, 2009 10:07 am, edited 1 time in total.
playlist foldersFrom the Cubase 5 manual:
"Moving tracks into a folder is a way to structure and organize tracks in the Project window. By grouping tracks in folder tracks, you can solo and mute them in a quicker and easier way and perform editing on several tracks as one entity. Folder tracks can contain any type of track including other folder tracks."
playlist foldersNope. Still don't get it. Monday morning's are often like that though.

playlist folders@Krim - look at used height of first example and second, just it
Example: You insert some module and put four ATs. Then You create one group and put there five new modulse. You can also hide or show this group (whole 5 modules). That makes You don't need to scroll so much up and down if You have many modules (and/or ATs). Furthermore - You can mute or unmute whole group at once (ups sorry, record button schouldn't be on groups on my examples). So virtual groups on Playlist will give You better organization, just it. the Tomcats example is a very good one, because those can add up but you'd generally be using them as a group. It'd be useful, especially for larger projects.. like groups in Photoshop or folders in Illustrator.
playlist foldersok, i see what you mean, but isnt Rich considering a 'hide' option for all generators in the Arranger for V8?

Have no idea, but groups would be better and more clear.
playlist folderscant see it myself, i never use enough of the same to put in a group...
you can always make the 'group' the same track colour and move them so they are next to each other in the Arranger Windows 11 Home - 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400 2.50 GHz -32GB RAM
