when you insert 2 the same synths example => wasps
you get Wasp #1, Wasp #2
but when you insert 2 the same effects example => 2-tap delay
you get 2-tap delay, 2-tap delay
the problem with this is that i can't see the difference when trying to move it i am then just guessing wich one it can be
example from insert 1 to multiFX
i can rename the effect to find the difference but it would be a lot more easy and time saving when while inserting it gives 2-tap delay #1, 2-tap delay #2
i would really appreciate it if this tiny adjustment was build in.
Thanks,
Matthy

a number behind effects when insterting (just like with syntrenaming is a better otpion, you know exactly what is what then
ie Delay-Snr ...Comp Bass ...Dist Lead etc etc Windows 11 Home - 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400 2.50 GHz -32GB RAM
250GB SSD - 1TB HDD | M-Audio Oxygen 25 V
a number behind effects when insterting (just like with syntthe problem is that i mostly play with the effects and 90% of the time remove them so as i said renaming is possible but costs a lot of time.

a number behind effects when insterting (just like with syntI like it Matthy! Generally the effects are consecutive - ie; the first comp effect is channel 1, the second comp is channel 4, the third comp is Bus 2, etc. But sometimes when you get 5 or more, it does get confusing when you want to move channel 8's comp to Bus 4 or vice versa. #'s would be nice to immediately see that Ch. 8 comp is #3, while Bus 2 comp is #5. It would save a lot on 'accidental moves and placements' that's for sure.
a number behind effects when insterting (just like with syntgood thing matthy points out. software must be consistent in its naming style.
a number behind effects when insterting (just like with syntGreat idea. I always append fx name for same device, but should follow gen name protocol.

a number behind effects when insterting (just like with syntI'd actually like to see the numbers disappear from instruments because they take up needless space. They are a complete waste of time as the Mixer tells you exactly what is what all the time. If you want to use a specific instance of any effect or instrument, you click on its label on the Mixer and the one you need is selected.
Keep all your effects minimised and you won;t be confused at all, ever. Simple. You just have to use Orion properly and these kinds of issues will never arise. Dell G7 (Hexa-Core i7)|Cubase Pro 10||Analog Keys|Ultranova|MicroMonsta|Uno|Skulpt|Craft Synth 2.0|

a number behind effects when insterting (just like with syntfor me, renaming is better than auto numbering.
a number behind effects when insterting (just like with syntIt depends on the workflow as I explained. Also it would not have any negative consequences and some positive consequences for other people.
Also its quite logical because the native synths do the same. Did You Know you can download my albums on 1albums.com and you can promote your own there to

a number behind effects when insterting (just like with syntNo, it does have negative consequences because it makes all the labels longer, which makes them less likely to fit in the space available on the mixer. I do agree that it depends on your workflow, so why not modify your workflow to eliminate the problem?

a number behind effects when insterting (just like with syntbecause changing the workflow is one thing but renaming costs as much time as inserting a effect. and I use them for simple testing 9 of the 10 times.
what about a on/off setting? that solves your problem for the generators too Last edited by matthy on Fri Apr 10, 2009 4:23 pm, edited 1 time in total.

a number behind effects when insterting (just like with syntI'm not suggesting you need to rename anything, simply that by using your mixer to better effect, the problem will go away. No extra effort, just a modification to your approach.
