This seems like an option that should be essential.
It would be great to select the notes in the PR and change velocity for only those selected notes.

Change velocity for selected notes only What are you talking about ? This feature already exists in Orion ! Click on the velocity option in bottom right of Orion screen and use the lasso tool or select each note one after one to set their velocity . Am i wrong ?

Change velocity for selected notes onlyThis is so you don't have to select each note one after another, it's so all selected notes velocities are changed together at once.
1. "Vel" is selected. Notes are selected. All I should be able to do is drag vertically on one of the selected notes for ALL of the SELECTED notes velocities to be changed. 2. Same thing in the pattern editor. The notes are selected. So, only the selected notes velocities are effected. All I should do is to be able to drag on one of the velocities in the editor for only the selected notes to be changed. Get it? So let's say that the selected velocities in the pattern editor change to a different color so you can see which ones they are. Change velocity for selected notes onlyReassure me Kriminal ! I wasn't completely wrong ? you can do this manually with the velocity editing button ?
Change velocity for selected notes onlyyou can manually change the velocity of any or allnotes by using VEL in button in the paino roll, of course...by using the Edit function tho, you can set exacty numbers, which is easier than drawing in certain circumstances

Change velocity for selected notes onlyYou see ? I still learn day after day ! I didn't know this function by the edit menu ! ...and yes for some works this can be interesting !
Change velocity for selected notes onlyits good for say a really long pattern, and you want the vel to go from 0-128, tho you can use the line tool for this too...

Change velocity for selected notes onlyYou are wrong. If you make a selection, the "Vel" tool disappears and the only thing you can do with that selection is move the notes around. Same with the "scale" tool, it affects all notes, ignoring any selections [different window]. So what ShadX is asking for is perfectly valid and not a bad idea.

Change velocity for selected notes onlyIf you bothered to read what the OP was asking, it was all about selections, so you're the only guy here not talking about them.

Change velocity for selected notes onlyThis came up a couple of times for me last month too. Although it seems like in order to make it easily usable in "busy" patterns, there'd need to be some sort of multi-lasso (hold CTRL w/ lasso tool to make multiple selections).

Change velocity for selected notes onlyProbably just as easy to do it a few times, or do it to the whole pattern and then fix the notes you want unaffected or something.

Change velocity for selected notes onlyIt's a little tougher for chords (or when using things like BFD or a DrumRack set to 'Multi'.) The velocities are stacked in the event area, so I usually have to hit Vel and click/drag them individually.

Change velocity for selected notes onlyIn the past I have achieved this by selecting the notes that I want, cutting and pasting them into a new pattern, setting the length accordingly, making global changes to the velocity in this new pattern, and cutting and pasting them back into the original pattern.
