If one is going to take the time and know how to make something sound that good in Orion, a few extra seconds to polish and package it in a 2 track editor before making a MP3 shouldn't matter? For rough MP3's to give people jists of songs, and the assurance it won't get ripped off 'as is' - I think OP's fine in that regard.
I've been doing all mastering in OP lately. If you think about how you're setting up your project while you do it, it's pretty easy. And since the final bounce can only be as good as the source material (and the tools used to make it), it stands to reason for me to get it all done in Orion, since it's easily on par with any external editors I have at my disposal. It's great just having one master file per project too, especially when you've got a large and ever-growing collection of finished tracks.
