Did You Know you can download my albums on 1albums.com and you can promote your own there to

Please more improvement in the ArpreggiatorNo, they are no way to render it...what would be great is for the destination vsti to record the midi data transmitted by the midi vsti plugin ( like in Sonar or Samplitude ). Maybe the internal structure of Orion doesn't allow this.
Please more improvement in the ArpreggiatorI concur with Bones. I've been through Korg, Oberheim, and Yamaha arpeggiators, and OP's is the most simple to complex one I've come across.
I think what people maybe forgetting is 'sequencer MIDI tricks' that can be done soley in the piano roll with notation alone. IE; 'MIDI Echo/Delay' - where you simply Select All a basic C-E-G-C riff, and simply copy it half a bar inwards. Getting C,C-E,E-G,G-C,C as a result. Or, you can copy and shift notes in the grid and attain a C,E-E,G-G,B-E,C and so on. Things like velocity difference's can easily be had by selecting the C-E-G-C notes and pasting to a lower or higher octave. Once there, simply select those notes with the lasso and use Scale Note Velocities in the Edit menu. Simply enter 70 for beginning and end. Grab the riff and slide down and shift onto the main octave and get a C,c-E,e-G,g-C,c type effect. A lot can be done with the most basic riff within Piano Roll with out any need for an arpeggiator. The only drawback and what Orion NEEDS to address is the flexibilty of this method regarding multitimbral synths. As it stands now, one has to insert say another PPG with the same Bass Patch in order to control 'note effects' on a indepedent channel with copied CC control reliably. But for now, I think if one plays around with the most basic pattern plopped into MonoBass and gets copying and moving those notes and fooling with the velocites - they can put that arpeggiator away for a while.
Please more improvement in the ArpreggiatorPlease don't buy the new 'Sanford Sound Design Arpeggiator'. This guy(or girl) is a total nut.
During 3 weeks he/she was asking 'how to make a midi plugin' using the vst standard on kvr...http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=253925. And now he/she releases a midi vsti for 25 bucks. ' Look at me look what I'm selling'. Too good...:ei: One day you'll make something by your own, firthemore it'll be free... He's just enable to solve the problem he encounters himslef... :rage: against the nuts.
Please more improvement in the ArpreggiatorOr, we could all take a tip from Phillip Glass - and play it by hand.
That's how I do it if I really must.... (You must You must!) Arpeggiators really aren't the wonder boxes people make them out to be. Helpful, yes. Miralculous.... Unless you have a 10th grade conservatory degree and missing your right arm, no.
Please more improvement in the ArpreggiatorYes you're right, people don't give a fuck about midi plugs...but I try to keep my expertise regardless to this nut.A few monthes ago he was puting an 'up' to a man which has made an additive synth using a stack of sin oscillator, which is just something totally...stupid.I dont like him and his particular ability to release commercial stuff just after a forum post where he had asking 'how to do this ?'.
Either you're ready for sealing or not.But if you can't learn by yourself you definitively not ready. Last edited by user_45a27 on Wed Jun 24, 2009 9:52 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Please more improvement in the ArpreggiatorYou know, I reckon using CTRL+R to make a random pattern is probably more creative and inspiring than any arpeggiator.

Please more improvement in the ArpreggiatorFor sure Bones. I hate to say it, but I often play 'Pin the notes on the grid' if Im stuck for ideas. More times than not I can hear something in them after, a bass riff, melody, something?
Though there are some good MIDI plugs out there that take a basic note or chord and do wonders with them (Real Guitar, Chordie, Arpy, etc) Like User45a27 says - you gotta know how and why you're working for them and why they're working for you. Anyone who wants a Mozart-esque symphony and doesn't even know what a Spinet is... No Arpeggiator or Multi timbral synth plug is going to help them. (a sampler might...And a classical CD? )
