What CAN'T Orion do?Play reruns or recreate virtually 'BJ And The Bear'.
(There goes the gay/trucker crowd. )
What CAN'T Orion do?plays reruns pretty well, as long as they're in .sfs format
What CAN'T Orion do?

What CAN'T Orion do?Obviously you're doing something wrong. Check your filters :hihi:

What CAN'T Orion do?@ DEE - That's because you have to use the 'stream to cup' function in order to clean the remants of the previous cup of coffee out before you use the 'tea' function. without doing this, you'll most definately get artifacts of coffee in your tea.
What CAN'T Orion do?I slid $1 into my floppy drive and the DVD drawer opened with a cup of hot chocolate.
Mmmmm.... Better than the bus station's too!
What CAN'T Orion do?Now wait a minute Icaro - that's pretty freaky! I actually just was in Radio Shack looking for a USB floppy drive for my lappy! Seriously! :schock:
But to get back on track, I must admit OP 'can't' do .MID files. But then again who can these days?
What CAN'T Orion do?It cant do serious audio works so bought ableton live for that.

What CAN'T Orion do?How do you mean 'audio works'? Correcting sloppy loop rythems and such? Yes and no. I was impressed with Ableton for that feature, but think OP could do it almost as good with groove slicing? It seemed to take a lot of steps in Ableton, and I didn't get that familiar with it. And if one got proficient with Groove Slicing on OP - it might work out the same? Then again, why would anyone want to constantly deal with loops made by amateur and/or drunk drummers all the time?
For a tape/montage/cue audio environment, OP's pretty good. Could do with a Measure/Timebase switch on it's playlist screen - but other than that.
What CAN'T Orion do?They sound like "fightin' words" to me.
What CAN'T Orion do?Groove slicer have problems, there is no fade-in fade out between slices and this produces clicks.
Also there is no pitch shift & time stretching in orion. Its not about drunk drummers but taking individual parts from a loop and create something else in different tempos. Loops are not only for drums. It can be anything like vocals. Orion also has not stream from hard drive so everything has to loaded to ram. Which is another major thing if someone works with loops. What CAN'T Orion do?
what about using the amp env to get rid of the click ? Yamaha CS-30, Roland SH-1, Roland MKS70, Focusrite Scarlett 18i6, Yamaha FS1R, Oberheim Matrix 1000, Novation Remote 37SL, Korg Legacy, Alesis M1Active 520, Novation Launchpad Pro, Push2, Intel i7-7700HQ
What CAN'T Orion do?For audio work, definitely, Orion is not up to scratch. Can't compete with the likes of Live or Reaper, but it's not meant to! If your music is loop based or relies on heavy audio editing(click hop, glitch etc.) Orion is not a good fit. You CAN do it as proven by Cricket Bones but it's just so much easier in a host build from the ground up with audio editing in mind. There are a lot of creative things you can do with time stretching and pitchshifting it's not only for correcting timing and pitch of a loop. Whole new genres have been established by using these techniques.
