Sampler of OrionI generally go with what sounds the way I want it to.

Blah, I made a mistake. I was sleepy last night and didn't really pay that much attention to the numbers. It's actually more complicated than switching just two numbers. I fired up Orion today and saw where the left-right controls are in regard to the open button. It's possible to push the left button more to the left, squeeze the open in between them, but then you'd have to push all the other controls to the right, since there will be a blank spot where open was. So, yeah... it goes deeper than just two numbers.
How would you visualize it if it was standing next to the knob? You're not supposed to. You're supposed to hear it. It's the same thing, only in different location than what you said would be cool to have. And how? It's all math 128 = 1 64 = 1/2 32 = 1/4 16 = 1/8 8 = 1/16 So a value of 22 would be close to 1/6. But seriously, you don't need to bother yourself with values, just listen to what that particular control is doing to your sound, and you'll be good SoundCloud ::: Facebook
Sampler of OrionThanks Hypna. It would've been nice if it was that easy too. I've made boners with my choo-choo's as well just trying to change seat position. I want to raise up 2 inches, and over left by 1. Get into the program, and it's all X=-2.012543 Y=3.1238765 Z=44.33. And it's the most minute change to make or ruin a major difference.
Thanks for double checking. Hopefully Rich will address it at some point in the future.
Sampler of OrionHe said recently he uses the Classic skin.

Sampler of OrionSteven, if this is what you had in mind....
...here it is http://www.soundmute-recordings.com/gyr ... lassic.zip Just unpack in your Skins folder, it will overwrite both samplers in the Default and Classic skins folders. Make a backup first if you want :hihi: Last edited by HYPNAGOGIA on Sat Sep 26, 2009 5:33 am, edited 1 time in total.

Sampler of OrionYes, sorry for the late reply. Classic skin it is for me.
Nice job Hypna, but not quite what I had in mind. I guess I shouldn't have said 'Open' so quickly, as the file folder is certainly accessible. Let's say you have a GM SF2 with 100 samples to choose from within. If you click between the <> currently, it brings up a full list from which you can quickly see and select Banjo or Organ, whatever. It's getting the cursor inbetween that little space to bring up the list I find so difficult. So the folder was fine where it was, but I like the space you made with it in your display So if that could say 'List' or something, that would be very cool!
Sampler of OrionYou mean this?
For that, you just click on the text on the left side of the display. As far as I know, there's nothing in between the left-right arrows. It's like a 1 pixel empty space, so don't know really. SoundCloud ::: Facebook
Sampler of Orion:superlol: You're right Hypna. I never knew that! I just discovered it by chance using the <> with my mouse to check out sounds. I accidentally hit the middle and this list appeared. So that's the way I've been working ever since.
But clicking the name is MUCH easier.
Sampler of OrionSorry but i lose the link of skin about Orion, where are the skin?
There was another site in addition to where you could find other Novakill skin presets sound, etc. .. always connected with Orion Thanks
Sampler of OrionEC, not the right topic for that matter, but you can find bones' skins, synths and other stuff on http://www.novakill.com... if that's what you're asking.
Also, you can find some other Orion related stuff (skins, songs, presets) on http://www.orion-reloaded.com Bookmark these Last edited by HYPNAGOGIA on Mon Sep 28, 2009 5:08 pm, edited 1 time in total.
