I quote myself in the earlier tread:
now my only option now is to open up all fx individually and move forward each event automation to a estimated bar where I want it to 'kick in'. If I go wrong I will have to repeat this time consuming process. Not good for the flow of the creative process.
I have a few other wishes for Orion. However the above mentioned one is what I mostly would like to see working. I'll mention another idea which I think might come forward as a bit repetitious. But for the sake of collecting these ideas in one place, I'll include them as well.
I would like to see:
1) For the VST automation that are inserted into the Mixer Strip to be function in the same way as the generators / instruments in that the automation changes are moved along with the rest of the track if I want to copy, paste or move the sequence.
2) A more extensive list of tools in event automation. Especially lasso, marking and a grid oriented workflow. This would be heaven sent and I would finally be able to repeat my more quirky event changes.
3) Effect and Instrument automation visible in sequencer. Which could be grouped under the generators / instruments. (Which is probably a whole lot like AT is going to look like I guess.)
Some people have mentioned Automation Tracks as a potential sollution to some of these issues. But I will leave that out of the equation for now. I can just say that with the current way of working with things the top two things would vastly improve the freedom in working with automation heavy tracks in Orion.
I think that improving this might also prove to strenghten the selling point of Orion itself.
