you can say, pick a Wasp from a song, that is set up just how you really like, dleted everything else from that song, and save it as a Template
you can of course, start from scratch, and save that as a Template
a template can be as simple just saving one instrument (for example, i have saved the xr-909 stereo cos it wont be in V8 except for backwards compatibility, and i prefer it to the alternative)
of course, Templates fail on the SEND part, you cant save 10 'mixer strips' and load them if they all have diff FX on the SEND (the fx still load, but wont be assigned)
so, its swings and roundbouts
there is also 'song merge'...but thats another kettle of problems that many ppl have asked for and i fail to see the point of
kinda stupid and lots of work that you have to delete evrything to make a template don't you all think? why not a menu of what you want to template. or a better idea.
the concept is cool but if you want a to template a small part of a song you have to delete a LOT.
cant you re-use the code of the merge function?
