Ability to trigger patterns via MIDIMattox, try using C0 xx where xx = 00-to-7F for program changing. C0 is the program change command, 00 is the first preset, 7F is the 128th preset. So, e.g., in Bomes take midi keyboard key C0 and translate that to C0 00 to get the first preset etc.
Ability to trigger patterns via MIDIOK, the problem is still there, with the pattern not loading. I've told Rich about this over at the Beta forum. We'll see what he comes up with. Fingers crossed.
Ability to trigger patterns via MIDIHey mark, I installed MidiOx: this is what it says I'm sending:
TIMESTAMP IN PORT STATUS DATA1 DATA2 CHAN NOTE EVENT 00005B1D 1 -- C0 03 -- 1 --- PC: Honky-Tonk Piano 00005BB2 1 -- C0 03 -- 1 --- PC: Honky-Tonk Piano Last edited by mattox on Tue May 18, 2010 11:33 am, edited 1 time in total.
Ability to trigger patterns via MIDIThat looks right. Have you checked the generator settings to see that it's set to receive MIDI messages? More pertinently, have you looked at your MIDI In settings in Options and checked the receive program change messages box?
Ability to trigger patterns via MIDII'll try with midiox tonight. My bcr sends MSB and LSB but I set them both to off. If It's sending them still I don't know what else to do.
Ability to trigger patterns via MIDIThe reason why i suggested filtering out the bank select messages is to make sure that you can access the first 128 presets. If there's a bank select message in there it might be selecting the 2nd or 3rd bank of 128, which is what I found my Xio was doing.
Ability to trigger patterns via MIDILooks like that worked a treat. Only issue now is loading the styles. Changes work perfectly
Ability to trigger patterns via MIDII'm wondering how this will work say trying to trigger 3 different patterns/styles at once from different generators.
Every generator on its own midi channel?

Oh so it's not for getting rid of the drop outs. I erased all the presets and left only 3 of them to try changing, and it worked but with the problems I said before. mattox, are you having problems with the sound when changing presets?
Ability to trigger patterns via MIDIMaybe I'm doing something wrong becouse with asio4all drivers and changing presets on the gui (without my external audio card and midi controller) it works just fine.
Ability to trigger patterns via MIDIRich said that the lack of changing patterns is an intended limitation to stop people from accidentally changing patterns when scrolling through presets. He says it will take a second to re-implement. I've suggested that styles have their own bank select message e.g. LSB 64, so that other users don't get affected.
Mattox, you could either do it with easy midi in so that only the selected generator gets the midi messages or you use advanced midi mode where each generator is given it's own midi channel. I guess you'd want to set up key splits on your keyboard then so that you can send to different channels.
Ability to trigger patterns via MIDIi am sure that it will be a lot of fun playing the pattern with novation launchpad, get the CB ready
Yamaha CS-30, Roland SH-1, Roland MKS70, Focusrite Scarlett 18i6, Yamaha FS1R, Oberheim Matrix 1000, Novation Remote 37SL, Korg Legacy, Alesis M1Active 520, Novation Launchpad Pro, Push2, Intel i7-7700HQ
Ability to trigger patterns via MIDII'm already thinking of making a launchpad/bliptronic/tenori-on type program in Mathematica
Ability to trigger patterns via MIDIWould be very cool to eventually have a few presets made up to be used via the MT Player app that Bomes supplies.
Ability to trigger patterns via MIDIThe latest Orion 8 beta now has the ability to switch between styles using bank/program changes. Not only does it switch generator settings, but also the patterns! Should be cool for all you guys that want to use Orion for live stuff.
I have to say it is pretty sweeeeeet!
