AF-4 Analog Filter - 100% pitch tracking?

Postby Paerox » Wed Apr 09, 2014 4:39 pm

Hey people! New forum user here. :-)

I'm trying to "tune" the AF-4 with control voltage so that the cutoff frequency follows the note I'm playing by 100%, just like the 1V/OCT input does on modular hardware filters. This means the filter can be "played" just like an oscillator.

The image below illustrates this:

Is this possible, or could this be an idea for the next release of AF-4?

PS: Where is the search function of this forum?

Welcome to the forums! :music: :dudelsack:

Sorry I can't help much with RE plugins, I don't use them myself, but I hope someone else might. On the other hand, I might help with your other question...

Hi Hypnagogia and thanks for your friendly response. :)

My Debian-based router is configured up to block a lot of ads and unwanted domains, and the search function of this forum is unfortunately also blocked.

I can see this search function on my mobile device when I visit this forum via a different network, bypassing my router. This is an indication that my hosts-file needs to be updated

I will keep trying as regards to the pitch tracking of the AF-4.

On a completely unrelated note: here's a shameless plug for my ambient demo-reel on Soundcloud:

hello and welcome to the forums!

please feel free to post an actual finished track here -
to be honest, i didnt get much from your "snippets" of nature field recordings with ambient chords/textures over them - would be interested to hear a finished TRACK from you though!

Hello Junebug,
Here are two of my "biggest" productions, "Memories of You" and "Somewhere, far away"

I'm open for suggestions for a better name for this track.

Also, feel free to visit my Soundcloud profile - https://soundcloud.com/paerox/

Thanks for listening! 8)

Hey this is good stuff, oldschool Berlin style ambient. I dig it. Good job!
