With the Reset Button on ? What do you expect to happen ? Not being a smartass I just really don't see or hear the problem. The behavior is just as expected......
There is nothing to 'fix', , there is not a 'problem' per se. The sole purpose of this thread was to find a way to mimic some other synth's behavior in DUNE 2. Mark's patch is a nice try but it's still a workaround and does not sound the same in all cases.
I know its expected behaviour because its set to reset. But... if you mimic the different phase behaviour at least i expect it to be useful it all cases, not just by init preset from wich you cant go anywhere else
I know exactly what you're after, but it's not possible atm. As Teksonik says, that will require an answer from the developers as to whether or not it is possible.
For the record I wasn't trying to be a smartarse when I said leave it open and see what Rich and Marcin say on the subject. I'm genuinely interested to hear what they say and will no doubt come away much the wiser........
EDIT: Or maybe they'll just ignore the subject altogether.............
I get the idea of this after reading this thread a few times. I'm no expert... but I played with Marc's preset, changed the lfo offset (-21) & the fade-in (0.01) & got a little more favorable of a result.
Another trick I tried was changing the 1st LFO shape to S&G with a .488 Hz rate with the same settings to get a little more "syncopated randomness". Sounds a little more analog o me.. but I get what the OP is after. I just don't think Dune2 at its current state has an phase sync that's similar to those other synths, but you can get close with Marks preset with some tweaking to taste.
