I am missing some very important things when working with Dune 3 and I would like to kindly make some direct request to the developers of this great plugin.
I do a lot of commercial sound design on a daily basis and have to tweak thousands of parameters to create the sounds I need.
There is a significant function missing which is slowing me down so much that I often leave Dune and reach out for a different synth to work with.
It is not possible to enter precise parameter values. Something I have to do all the time. I know you can use shift and drag but this is not the same. Not being able to enter exact parameter values in a modern synth is an absolute bummer and nightmare for people working hours with synths.
Please, could you fix this in an upcoming update?
The next thing is, it is not possible to automate actions like next, previous filter or next, previous wavetable (not waveform).
I know I can change those values with the mousewheel but they absolutely HAVE to be automatable.
Wavetable browser
It seems that there is absolutely no way to create working wavetable subfolders next to the factory wavetables.
I often make custom wavetables for WT-synths which I include in my products and sell them to my customers.
This is not possible with Dune 3? The only thing I can do is to import SINGLE wavetables in the edit menu, thats all.
Again, I would like to address this major issues directly to the developers and kindly ask them to implement them in future updates.
Thanks a lot and kind regards
Dan

Re: Dune 3 - important workflow features and fuctions missin
I tried to import some folders with custom wavetables (WAV) that I created and placed them in sub folders next to the factory wavetables. Dune is not able to read them. The sub folders are empty when I load the plugin. According to the manual, the format has to be Dune WT. No way to load the WAV format which is the standard for wavetables. So I went to the WT editor to import my wavetables and export them as Dune WT but it is only possible to import only ONE wavetable at a time. This is an absolute workflow killer and definitively a major issue.
Re: Dune 3 - important workflow features and fuctions missin"Import WAV (Adjust Wavetable)
Loads a wave file (WAV) as a complete wavetable. With this variant, the number of waveforms is automatically adjusted to the length of the wave file. This function is useful if the wave file consists of several waveforms with 2048 samples each". I've done hundreds of patches for Dune 3 many of which use the WT Osc and it's not a problem here in the least bit so no it's not a "major issue" for everyone. But good luck with your feature request. Keep in mind there are other requests on the list so all you can do is make your personal request in a calm and respectful manner and hope for the best.

Re: Dune 3 - important workflow features and fuctions missinBloody "sound designers"! Dan, DUNE has been around for more than a decade so it's far too late to be calling anything it is missing "important". "Handy" maybe, but not "important". I'd love to be able to enter precise values, for example, but not having it doesn't stop me from getting my work done. What I can't figure out is why you'd want to automate the filter type. Could you give us an example of how you might use that?
