Dune 2 wavetables can be used with Dune3 ?

Hello, have a quick question:
Am I correct that Dune 2 wavetables, although they both have the same file extension, cannot be used in Dune 3?

Apparently there is no import function for this in Dune 3.

I wanted to open some old Dune 2 patches in Dune 3 and got an error message.
Old wavetables are not recognized by Dune 3 and do not appear in the WT selection.

D2 wt's work fine in D3, infact, im pretty sure D3 has all the factory wt's from D3

if you have your own or third party wt's, just put them in the D3 Wavetables folder

That‘s why I ask the question.
Third party Dune 2 WT‘s are not recognized in Dune 3.
I have already copied this into the Dune 3 folder.

I don't have any third party Dune 2 wavetables although I think Mark has some on his site so I may look.

But I just copied one of the .wts from the Dune 2 folder, renamed it and put it in the D3 folder and it loaded just fine. So D2 wt's do load in D3.

If there is a problem with third party wavetables I'd try contacting the developer that provided them to you.

If there's a Mod around maybe you could split this thread off so we don't clog the Soundbanks thread.

EDIT: Here's the link to Mark's WT site. He has some made just for Dune 2, you'll find the link there. I'm going to try them now but I'm quite sure they will load in Dune 3.

EDIT 2: Yep I just tried a handful of Mark's Dune 2 wavetables and they all load just fine in Dune 3.

Yes, i tried to open some old sound patches which used Dune 2 wavetables from Mark Holt.
I´ve copied this wavetables in the Dune 3 wavetable folder, but they are not recognized from Dune 3.
What do you mean with "you have renamed it "?
The file ending of Mark Holt´s Dune 2 wavetables are .wt, the same as the file endings of the Factory Dune 3 and Dune 2 wavetables.
In my case i´ve copied the wavetables MH PDWMCZ11apo.wt & MH PDWMCZ15.wt in the Dune 3 folder.

Extremely strange.
I just tried to open the patch again, today it works. now the wavetables are recognized by Dune 3, that was not the case yesterday.

You probably just needed to close then reopen your DAW for Dune 3 to recognize the wavetables you just copied over.
