I've been trying to get higher notes on the keyboard to play softer, but I can't seem to get it right.
I tried lowering the velocity response in the Mod Matrix by giving it a negative volume (mixer, amp level, or arp vol level) output, and more ways that I can't remember, but I would need something like a negative volume response linked to the keytracking (I think).
Maybe I didn't explain my test methods well enough, but you get the idea: higher notes need to be softer

Re: Higher notes softer in Dune, how?Put this into the mod matrix:
Keytrack -100 Amp Level Of course you can adjust the negative value to taste until you are happy with the result Admin - Synapse Audio Software

Re: Higher notes softer in Dune, how?Would it be possible to add the ability to do a hard cut at a certain point on the keyboard?
In other words Osc1 Layer 1 makes no sound whatsoever after C5 or Osc1 Layer 2 makes no sound until C5 etc?
Re: Higher notes softer in Dune, how?
You can also use Keytrk (C4) as a source. With that, the keytracking only starts at C4 and is more aggressive than across the full range.
Re: Higher notes softer in Dune, how? Thanks @Richard
I must have totally overlooked it.
Re: Higher notes softer in Dune, how?
It just seems that if partial volume adjustment can be made in relation to Key number then full adjustment should be technically possible as well. Hard cut at a certain note number rather than partial attenuation or fade. Of course I am hinting at Key Splits which have been requested many times in the past but dismissed. Now there is a feature that would bring new functionality especially if key number could be set rather than just have a single point like C4.....
Re: Higher notes softer in Dune, how?I've also suggested key splits in the past. It would be a great addition.
Re: Higher notes softer in Dune, how? Also, you can get close to a key split at C4 by having multiple entries (~5/6) of Keytrk -100 Amp Level (or whatever), but this is a cumbersome and unsatisfactory workaround.
