Quick question on "Genetics" behavior

So there are a lot of very layered, complex sounds in the arp presets with no way (that I know of) to copy/paste just a single layer so I can copy just one layer I like into a new preset and then use that as a basis for the "genetics" feature. Can I achieve the same effect (only using one layer of a sound for one of the "parent" sounds) by muting every other voice in the preset?

Presumably you mean Dune3?

Open a new instance of D3, chose init preset

On original instance, copy layer you want, then paste to second instance.
