Dune 3 Reaper

Hi,

I have a new macbook.
Trying to get all my plugins installed.
Downloaded the latest version of Dune 3 and installed OK.

Loaded a saved Reaper project from the windows backup of the old PC.

Getting an error saying Dune 3 cannot be loaded (see screenshot)
When I replace the plugin with the latest version I've downloaded, I lose the patch info.

Can you please assist?

Found out a little more..
I can edit the Reaper project file (RPP) in a text editor.

I can then find the old instances of Dune 3 in the text file and the preset is listed. (Something I suppose)

From the project text file:

What I have in my old project:
"VSTi: DUNE 3 (Synapse Audio)" "DUNE 3.dll”

What I get if I add a new instance of DUNE 3:
“VST3i: DUNE 3 (Synapse Audio)" DUNE3.vst3” (This then works fine)

I have read online that Synapse support provided a user with an old version of the Dune 3 plugin. Is this possible in this case please?

I’m using an M2 Macbook.

it was the VST2 version of Dune3, and I believe there is no more VST2 for Mac M2
replace it manually, it will be faster

That’s a real shame.
I have 8 songs, each with multiple instances of Dune 3.
No idea how I edited the original presets.

Seem to have been left high and dry?
I don’t expect a VST to be updated in such a way that it no longer works with older projects.

I’ll certainly think long and hard about using it in future.

It is Apple fault, they abandoned VST2 on Silicon CPU.

If you have your old PC, you can replace VST2 by VST3 and reload them on the Mac, it should work

I thought vst2 on mac was dropped by Synapse because Steinberg are not supporting it anymore, and it won't work on new macs....?

Needs clarification
