Dune 64bits in FL Studio

Postby V-nex » Sat Aug 13, 2011 11:44 am

I love Dune and it's very usefull to create from an init patch a nice pad, but there are two issues:

First is with FL Studio (couldn't find anything in the forum).
When I load Dune64bits in FL Studio, the plug shows up, but doesn't make any sound.
In 32bits it works fine so I use the 32bits version.

Second is that I also work with Cubase SX 2.2, and (I know it's a familiar problem) and apart from Dune not working in SX, there's no reason for me to upgrade. It works really fine for me. I checked the demo in FL Studio and not in cubase SX. It's the only instrument that won't work in Cubase. Zebra, D16 plugs, Entity, the Powercore intruments, they all work fine in SX. I really don't know why Dune shouldn't.

Greetings,
Ton

does FL Studio and Cubase SX 2.2 actually load/support 64bit VST's ?

you need a 64bit host to load 64bit VST's

EDIT:
•64 bit plugin support - The Wrapper now automatically detects 64 bit plugins and opens them in 64 Bit 'Bridged' mode (see below).

could be a wrapper problem?
Windows 11 Home - 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400 2.50 GHz -32GB RAM
250GB SSD - 1TB HDD | M-Audio Oxygen 25 V

I works now, but not in bridged mode. Strange, it didn't react at all but now it works fine, can't recall what I've done.

Thanx for the reply anyway.

I'd use the 32-bit version in a 32-bit host, even if it has a 64-bit bridge.

The bridge introduces latency & CPU overhead, it is impossible to avoid this. Dune has minimal memory requirements, per instance it is only 15 mb, so there is plenty of space within the 2 gb limit.
