Hi!
When I have a score on my piano roll (in fruity loops, for example) playing in C5, and I put the Hydra Pitch Wheel to the top, I aspect to get the score playing on C6 (1 octave up), but in fact it play as D5 (2 semitones up).
Why? Is Pitch Wheel meant to be -+ 2 semitones? And can I change this value?
Thank you!

Re: Pitch wheel is incorrect?Already tried! It is set to 12, but in fact it doesnt get 12! Also, if I change (puttin on 48 for example) nothing change...
Re: Pitch wheel is incorrect?Hydra's Pitch Bend works as expected here in Orion and Reaper. I have FL Studio but it's not pointed to Orion's vst folder where Hydra is installed...Not sure what you mean by "puttin on 48"...Hydra's range is only + or -12 max....
Re: Pitch wheel is incorrect?I know my english could be so crap, sorry
Well, I've made a screenshoot : As you can see, I can put 48 (as max value), or yes another value (12? 2? 4?). In fact, the pitch wheel doesnt have effect changing that value...! Also, you says "Hydra's range is only + or -12 max", but in fact I can only work with +-2 semintones
Re: Pitch wheel is incorrect? Is that the only place you have tried? My Hydra has 2 semitones as the default, which seems like too much of a coincidence to me. You need to set it up in Hydra, not in the stupid Fruity Wrapper.

Re: Pitch wheel is incorrect?
Ahhh I see , sorry for the confusion. Now I remember that Fruity Overrides the vst's own setting for pitchbend.....I'm going to try and move Hydra to FL's vst folder and give it a test.......
Re: Pitch wheel is incorrect?Ok djfonplaz is right. Even with Hydra's internal Pitch Bend range set to + or- 12 and Fruity's Wrapper set to 12 Hydra will still only pitch bend + or - 2 semitones..........
So it's a bug but I'm going to have to blame Fruity since Hydra's PB works perfectly here in both Orion and Reaper..... Last edited by Teksonik on Sun Jan 29, 2012 10:07 pm, edited 2 times in total.
Re: Pitch wheel is incorrect?Oh...right! I didnt see that OPT bottom on the main interface! Yeah, now I can set 12 seminotes. Unfortunatly only 12, I wish in some more values
But I think this is not possible... Thank you guys!
Re: Pitch wheel is incorrect?Have you tried it yet? Doesn't work here........
Dune's PB can go + - 64 although I don't know why anyone would want to bend that far.........maybe to annoy the dogs....... Last edited by Teksonik on Sun Jan 29, 2012 10:09 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Re: Pitch wheel is incorrect?
No man, if I set 12 semitones on Hydra, than on Fruity Pitch Bend I can get those +-12 semitones. The problem is that I can get ONLY 12 semitones (because Hydra settings "win"). It's is not a bug I believe, just a synth's limitation, right?
Re: Pitch wheel is incorrect?Really it's not working here.......let me try again........
Re: Pitch wheel is incorrect?
You have to set on OPT->Pitchbend range, not in the Fruity Wrapper, as suggested by Kriminal
Re: Pitch wheel is incorrect?Nope still not working here.....in fact the wheel Hydra's GUI only moves +- 2 semitones when using my Axiom controller but it will move the full +- 12 when moving with the mouse......
I just tested Dune and PolyAna too and the same thing. Must be something between Fl and my Controller... both synths work perfectly in Orion, Reaper and Sonar X1. Even at version 10 FL is still baffled by simple Midi like Pitch Bend and Mod Wheel..which is why I only use it for processing audio anymore......
Re: Pitch wheel is incorrect?
Yea I get that...........I've done a commercial patch bank for Hydra....... Do you use a Midi Controller?
