It wouldn't matter if it was easy or not - why waste even 5 minutes doing it when you can already do it from the Playlist? The problem with your idea is that you never get to compare the old and new instrument side-by-side, so you cannot always be sure the new one sounds better than the old one. With the way it is done now, you can mute/solo each one and choose the one that sounds best. Clone Track is a much smarter way of working and the best solution to this issue I have ever encountered.

Hi dude

This is how you do it lets use this as an example ok.

Channel 1 is say Wasp but you want this to be say Ultran instead.

1. Insert Ultran, this will be channel 2.
2. Go into pattern mode.
3 Click on Wasp.
4 Click on clone to option and then click Ultran.
5 Default will clone all effects ok.
6 Click on Wasp again
7 Click on delete generator.

Now Ultran is track 1, hope that helps.
