Have a question. I have a Novation Bass Station II that I'm trying to use as a MIDI controller for Legend. To double the resolution Novation assigned two CC's to a few key knobs (like Cutoff) to get 255 possible values for more granular control.
Problem is, Legend don't seem to like that. When you "MIDI learn" it takes the two CC's (16 & 48) and jumps back and forth to those two, instead of smoothly going from 0-255.
Does anyone know if there's a way to solve this?

Re: The Legend - High Resolution MIDI?Does it work with any other VSTi? i.e. Is the problem with Legend or is it with Novation? It sounds like a stupid gimmick to me.

Re: The Legend - High Resolution MIDI?
Works with some VST's, others not so much - from what I can tell the dev has to allow for it to be an option, but certainly frustrating. That said, I'm using it with Omnisphere, and I will say the smoothness of the cutoff is nice - but agree that its frustrating that it's not something you have a choice on.
Re: The Legend - High Resolution MIDI?you need a dedicated controller keyboard, works perfectly smooth, no need for botched work arounds

Re: The Legend - High Resolution MIDI?I wouldn't call it a workaround. The advantage of using a MIDI capable synth (that I already have) is you can map controllers 1:1 - if you haven't tried it's so much easier to use and change say, resonance and attack by just turning the defined knob. All in all, it's a far superior experience vs. a bunch of rotary's that have no labels - you literally don't have to look at the screen and feels like a hardware experience. The only knob that's not working is filter cutoff (which I can assign to another, but not ideal).
Re: The Legend - High Resolution MIDI?
Seriously? I've been doing this for a long time and I can't say I've ever been in a situation where a MIDI value of 75 was too much and 74 was too little. In fact, most of the time I'd get by just fine with 0-10 values as I tend to round up to the nearest ten anyway. Re: The Legend - High Resolution MIDI?i think its more a case of live control over a sweep/movement so it doesnt sound steppy, not just setting a static value
like i said tho, a proper controller will (and does) work fine Windows 11 Home - 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400 2.50 GHz -32GB RAM
