The Legend x64 VST2 fails to load on several VST hosts

On several VST hosts (Live Professor, BloXpander, Gig Performer and Cantabile Solo) The Legend plugin nearly always fails to load when opening a project.
The plugin scans of each host often fails in detecting it. I'm running Windows 10 64 bits, all the hosts are 64 bits.
A turnaround on BloXpander is to load the 32 bits Legend plugin with jBridge, that version loads normally. I haven't tried this turnaround with the others hosts.

On Cantabile 3 when opening a song that contains The Legend :
« Failed to load plugin 'C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST2\Instruments\Legend.dll' - failed to load DLL (error code 13206) »

On BloXpander 1.5 :
« This file is not a valid 64 bits VST plugin » (I translated the message from french...)

On Live Professor 2.0.3 :
« The plugin The Legend could not be loaded. Unable to load VST-2 plug-in file »

On Gig Performer it works, but the plugin scan sometimes fails in scanning it, I must scan the plugin 2 or 3 times for the host to recognize it.

What is the problem exactly? We have both GigPerformer and Cantabile here, and The Legend works just fine in both.

Under Windows, the most common reason that a VST2 does not load is because the wrong DLL is used - i.e. a 32-bit plugin is used in a 64-bit host, or a 64-bit plugin is used in a 32-bit host.

It may be a memory allocation bug. I only test with the LegendFX version.

Sometimes it will fail in a blank project which seems to rule out a software conflict. Other times it would stop failing in the blank project and only load successfully after another VST was loaded.

We installed LiveProfessor 2.0 now as well, so we have all three hosts you mention installed. The Legend works in all of them here. Note that LiveProfessor crashes on scanning some Image Line 64-bit plugins which is strange (no other host does this), but it does not affect The Legend in any way.

So you're sure that you are using the latest version of The Legend and you scanned the proper 64-bit DLL?
Also could you give us your audio buffer settings (in samples, or milliseconds)?

The issue is exclusive to Legend. No other VST plugin or synth refuses to load.

I've never had The Legend fail to load in several different DAWs but I tend not to use obscure DAWs or Hosts like "Live Professor, BloXpander, Gig Performer and Cantabile Solo".

EDIT: I just installed Cantabile Lite on my test system and The Legend loads and works just fine.

1.31 is the worst its ever been. LegendFX refuses to load 100% while Legend loads just as good as 1.3.0

The Legend x64 FX has never failed to load in any of the 4 DAWs I've tested it in. Version 1.31 is no different.

What DAWs are you trying to load The Legend FX in ? Are you sure you're not trying to load the FX in an Instrument Track rather than an FX Slot ? Did you move the FX.dll after installing it ?

There is a reason why you're the only one reporting the issue.

Last was Win7. Now is Win 10. Cubase 9.5.

No other plugin in the same file path fails.

I don't own any version of Cubase but 9.5 was released in November of 2017. The latest version 10.5 was released in December of 2019.

Maybe try updating.

Other than that I haven't seen anyone else other than the three people in this thread report that The Legend fails to load in the four years since it's been released.

That tells me it's probably something with your systems or setups. It's never failed to load here in multiple DAWs on several systems running Win 7 and Win 10.
