Dune 3.5 genetics generation with keyboard shortcut

When adding three patches in the genetics module, clicking on generate with a mouse works as intended. But if the shortcut key (G) is used, the last used patch and any patch directly below it in the browser become selected and the original selection of three patches is discarded.

In spite of this minor hiccup, the genetics feature is a blast to play around with!

Here's the essential info that I inadvertently omitted:

DAW: FL Studio 20 (20.8.4 64-bit)
OS: Win 10 (Home 64-bit)

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open genetics window in Dune
2. Add any three patches
3. Press the G key (on your keyboard)

I can not reproduce the issue here. Hitting G triggers the Genetics as expected. I tried both the VST 2 and VST 3 versions.

Make sure you have this option enabled in FL Studio:

Also make sure you're using DUNE 3 version 3.512

G = Genetics, it acts like right clicking on one or more patches and choosing Genetics.

I started playing Dune on the same day that I purchased it and also created this thread quite late in the night after I was blown away by the sounds that the synth was creating through the genetics feature.

I could not find any information about the shortcuts A and G in the manual for usage in the genetics window.

I would implore you to provide a keyboard shortcut to act similarly to what a left mouse click does when generate is clicked. Thank you.

I'll say it again...G does the same thing as left mouse click does when generate is clicked.

In FL Studio 20.8.4 on Windows 10 20H2 64 bit both with the VST 2 and VST 3 versions of DUNE 3.512 with Caps lock On and Off.

If that doesn't work for you then there is something wrong or you don't have FL set to pass keystrokes to the plugin.

Sure, can be done The hotkey was added during the development stage, it was not intended to suit a particular workflow or act like a shortcut for the Generate button specifically.

Yes it does, and it is identical if you invoke genetics via the menu or right-click, there is a difference only when drag+drop is used to gather the patches. Took me a while to understand the issue as well

Just edited my post Tek, see above- it is related to drag+drop specifically, and only affects the very first key press.
