I want to mesh 3 basslines so none of the instruments play on the same note. If I can have the ability to superimpose the melodies of generator to another that would be great. Just have the notes on existing patterns very light like see through and the generator thats I am working on will display the sold dark notes to let me know these are the notes I am adding and the seethrugh lighter notes are from existing patterns. Does this make since.
I know I can view all three vsts sequencer notes by lining up the windows but this is very clumsy and often the zooming on the melodies are never lined up and i have to manually change the zoom to view all melodies to make since. It is too hastlesome. Just have a little icon viewable in the sequencing named impose and and option to pick which generator to impose on the sequencer for display puropese only- I dont need the option to change notes.
This or make the view window option of different sequencer more efficient. Ie a button in the seqencer to view sequencer in window mode, then I can click the same button on another instrument and have all the zoom functions in sync so I dont need to manually line up the patterns to view at oncee. Does this make any sense

Superimpose patterns from different instrumentsI'm not quite sure what's that about, but from what I understood, it sounds much like showing "ghost notes" as some call it. There's an option in Orion to show notes from other generators.
In the nutshell, all you have to do is solo the instruments (on their toolbars, not mixer) you want to see notes of, say your first bassline synth, and you open the second, open the PianoRoll configuration and tick on "Show notes from all modules" (M is the shortcut key). That will show you notes from your first soloed synth in the second, so you can work on that. Then, when you're done with the second bassline, you solo it, and open the third, make sure the same option is checked in the PR configuration, and it will show you notes from the first two synths. Just make sure you don't solo too many synths, or it will just clutter the sheet, and you probably won't know which note belongs to which module. Anyway, I think that's what you're after, unless I completely misread your post. SoundCloud ::: Facebook
Superimpose patterns from different instrumentsYeah, this guy would get a lot further asking questions, rather than making demands. I'm sure Ghost Notes will do just what he is asking but his attitude doesn't make me feel like telling him how to do it. I will give him a hint though - CFG in the Piano Roll.

Superimpose patterns from different instrumentsCool, we already have a similar function, but there is a difference between show all notes from all generators then show only these generators. Grouping generators into bass, lead, etc. I only want to show ghost notes relative to specific parts of the track. Why do I need to view the lead notes when Im contructing the bass. Its useful if you use 3 generators for bass - or you can apply to leads etc. Thats what Im asking for. I will see if I can do this already if so then, great. Orion rocks.
Superimpose patterns from different instrumentsI have 7.61 version. you must have different version hypna, cuz i dont have that function. You two must have the 8 beta to have this function, cuz I dont have it. What you mentioned sounds like what I suggested but I want view one specific generator's note - It would be best If I could view multiple generator ghost notes as well. It
Superimpose patterns from different instrumentsTrue, it is in Orion 8 beta, but I also checked in the Orion64, which is 7.62, so it should be there, unless someone can confirm it's not in the 7.62 32-bit version.
The 7.62 is in your download section of the Service area, Tim, you just have to download and update. I already said you can view Ghost Notes from as many generators as you like simply by using the solo button on their taskbar, not solo on the mixer. That, in combination with the option in the Piano Roll CFG dialog to show notes from other generators will do that for you. It's not that it will show you notes from ALL generators, or just one, you can decide which generators' notes you want to see. No grouping in that regard, I'm afraid. You will have to do this all the time you want different synths' notes to show. SoundCloud ::: Facebook
