Hello!!
For me, is the most useful thing ever made in Orion. But I ever wanted to it be more intelligent. For example, only "not muted" or "solo" channels, I mean all the channels that actual "I can listen", are added when I press F9.
Maybe this option will be configurable in playlist preferences, something like "Add All Patterns" or "Add Active Patterns".
Many Thanks, that could be awesome.

Re: Make "Add Patterns To Playlist" more "Intelligent"
What is it you're describing? Never used add patterns the way you seem to use it.
Re: Make "Add Patterns To Playlist" more "Intelligent"Yes I'm not sure I understand the request....Add All Patterns....in what order?
Re: Make "Add Patterns To Playlist" more "Intelligent"He wants to instead adding all patterns, to just add the "active" ones; ie. soloed ones, or leaving muted ones out.

Re: Make "Add Patterns To Playlist" more "Intelligent"Hi DaZoid and Teksonik!
In Orion 7, when you press F11 all current patterns are automatically added to your playlist at current cursor position. In Orion 8, F11 changed to F9, and must click on playlist window to work (I don´t like this, is much better pressing F9 everywhere). This thing is VERY VERY drastically USEFUL in big projects trying to remember each pattern is almost imposible and slow. So I use this "MAGIC" key to add all patterns that actually I am working. The problem is that this key add all current patterns to the playlist, and I must delete patterns that I don´t want, which is logical, I think. So, if this "MAGIC" key adds only the patterns that "I can listen", I mean "not muted" or "solo", will save HUGE time and avoid mistakes. Sorry for my english... "Pleeease, bring back ORION!"
Re: Make "Add Patterns To Playlist" more "Intelligent"You can use empty patterns for the instruments you don't want to hear in the respective part of the song. Nevertheless your suggestion not to add inactive Patterns sounds good, because with all those empty patterns added, you cannot see anything in the navigation bar.

Re: Make "Add Patterns To Playlist" more "Intelligent"I don't find F-9 useful here but if it's something that will make your workflow easier then I'll add a +1................
Re: Make "Add Patterns To Playlist" more "Intelligent"Until now I made a little trick that is grouping all channels that I current work at the bottom side of the playlist, so I press F9, and then delete all patterns above that I don´t want to be included. This make things faster, but the problem is that I must grouping patterns all the time... LOL
I made this draw to show how must work F9 key will. F9 Key Today F9 Key Wish I hope it helps... I wish this feature will be in the future version of Orion. "Pleeease, bring back ORION!"
Re: Make "Add Patterns To Playlist" more "Intelligent"instead of grouping why don't you select empty pattern it will mute the instrument !
and now pressing F9 will copy all patterns, you just have to delete empty pattern easily spotted because they don't have any note but a magic F9 should not copy empty pattern ! Good idea... +1
Re: Make "Add Patterns To Playlist" more "Intelligent"
Yes, but think about a project with 30 channels or more... is really a headache "Pleeease, bring back ORION!"
Re: Make "Add Patterns To Playlist" more "Intelligent"Hi! Here again...
I just like to add more experience about this: For me is easy to work with MIDI controllers, in patterns mode, then when I´m happy with the mix, press F9 to add patterns to the playlist. This is really fast, and insert a wrong pattern is impossible. But... The smallest/biggest zoom in the playlist is not enough. I´m talking about 24 or 32 channels, pressing F9 is like to caos, specially when you have big patterns like 256 and you are working on patterns 16. An intelligent F9 is necessary. Re: Make "Add Patterns To Playlist" more "Intelligent"why not just delete the muted channels if you dont want them? its basically a short cut, what are describing is more work, and so renders it not a short cut....

Re: Make "Add Patterns To Playlist" more "Intelligent"
Because is not an easy job what happened after use this "short cut"... Let´s face the situation... -32 Channels -Pattens Length Involved 16 - 20 - 32 - 64 - 128 - 256 Actually working in pattern mode with patterns length 16... I press F9... all Patterns are inserted to complete the length of the larger one (256), on every channel in playlist. wow... thats is A LOT of tune up on every channel in playlist. I spent the half time of making a song, just deleting patterns... "Pleeease, bring back ORION!"
Re: Make "Add Patterns To Playlist" more "Intelligent"so youy expect Orion to do the work for you then?
