Moving effect events

Postby knechtodawas » Fri Jun 24, 2011 3:34 pm

If I move patterns in the playlist, all connected events are moved either. But the events of insert and send effects linked to the generator are NOT moved. I didn't find an option to change this behaviour. As I am user of Orion 7, I checked the Orion 8 demo but the issue doesn't seem to have been changed here.

Playlist -> Little cfg button on the bottom -> When Dragging/Copying Blocks -> Turn on both "Drag/Copy Module Events too" and "Drag/Copy Mixer Events too"

Nope! This does not work!

"Drag/Copy Module Events too" means, that the events of the generator itself are moved (for example the cutoff of the WASP).

"Drag/Copy Mixer Events too" means, that the events of the mixer itself are moved (for example gain, EQ, activate/deactivate insert, send gain...)

But if I have inserted an effect and record some of it's parameters as event (for example cutoff of Orion's variable filter), it is definitely not moved, independently of the options above. This is true for Orion 7.6 and the demo of Orion 8.

Here is a demonstration of my problem (pictures say more than words):

1. As you see I inserted WASP with a variable filter and automated the cutoff. Both check boxes are marked.

2. I moved the patterns, but the automation stays at its place.

I noticed this early on using Orion...

When you finally get one, I think your official response will be: Moving/dragging VST-effect events isn't supported at the moment...

As far as I know that's how it is right now.
